Availability Domains

Availability Domains are logical, isolated locations within an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) region. They provide redundancy and fault tolerance for resources deployed in them, ensuring that resources are not impacted by failures in other availability domains. Each region contains at least three availability domains, and each availability domain has its own power, cooling, and network infrastructure. This allows customers to deploy their applications and data across multiple availability domains for high availability and disaster recovery.
